Mistral AI has launched a public API preview of Mistral Large 4, a multimodal, trillion-parameter model with 52 billion active parameters, and says it will release the model weights by the end of October 2026. The company reports strong results in cybersecurity, coding, agent workflows and visual understanding, including an 82% score on a vulnerability-reproduction benchmark, and says the model was trained on 3,800 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs in European data centres.
