Libreboot 26.10 “Ominous Olive” released with full UEFI support libreboot.org

Libreboot 26.10, released by project lead Leah Rowe on 15 October 2026, makes the open-source EDK2 UEFI firmware the default on nearly all supported 64-bit systems, enabling Windows 10 and 11 and other UEFI operating systems to boot. The release also adds build support for 233 Intel and AMD Chromebooks from MrChromebox, adds several other boards including the ThinkPad X280 and Dell OptiPlex 5050 SFF, and replaces the AMD Fam15h coreboot tree with a more reliable 15h.org fork.
