The NRC staff’s final safety evaluation recommends that the Commission approve a construction permit for Long Mott Energy’s proposed Long Mott Generating Station in Calhoun County, Texas. The project would consist of four X-energy Xe-100 reactors, producing 800 megawatts-thermal (320 megawatts-electric) to supply electricity and process steam to Dow Chemical’s Seadrift Operations, with surplus power sent to the grid.
