Ducks assign Nikita Klepov to OHL’s Spirit sportsnet.ca

The Anaheim Ducks assigned 18-year-old rookie Nikita Klepov to the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit, ending his NHL trial after four games without a point. The 11th overall pick in this year’s draft led the OHL with 97 points in 67 games last season; returning to junior before his 10th NHL game means his entry-level contract’s first year will not count.
