Pavelich, 1st Hall of Fame linesman, dies at 92 nhl.com

Matt Pavelich, the first linesman inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, died Friday at 92, his son Mark reported. In 23 NHL seasons, Pavelich worked 1,727 regular-season games and 245 playoff games, including 19 consecutive Stanley Cup Finals from 1961 to 1979; he was inducted in 1987.
