Thomas Capricelli is developing Sylphide OS, an open-hardware, FreeRTOS-based operating system for microcontroller computers with keyboard, mouse, display and framebuffer support. Version 0.1 supports three hardware targets and a Linux-hosted emulator, with a desktop-style graphical interface; storage, networking and loading external programs are planned but not yet available.
