Westinghouse to conduct key study for AP1000 in Slovakia world-nuclear-news.org
Westinghouse will conduct a six-month front-end engineering and design study to assess whether its AP1000 reactor is suitable for the planned new unit at Jaslovské Bohunice in Slovakia. Funded partly by a US State Department grant, the study will examine site conditions, permits, costs and scheduling; Slovakia aims to complete the project by 2040.
