Researchers led by Yongtian Wang, Linlin You and Calvin Yu-Chian Chen developed CPRISP, a deep-learning framework that predicts circular RNA binding sites for RNA-binding proteins. Tested on 37 benchmark datasets, it also identified pathways associated with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS and prioritized compounds for further experiments; the authors say this does not establish therapeutic efficacy.
