Researchers led by Xinyuan Zhu and Jiadong Lu at the University of Science and Technology of China developed Hi-TPH, a hierarchical dataset and benchmark for predicting T cell receptor binding to peptide–HLA complexes, with a method for selecting nonbinding examples. Their fine-tuned protein language models outperformed existing tools by 19.2% on an external laboratory test set; the dataset and code are publicly available.
