SGE UK and Origin Nuclear, a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation, signed a letter of intent for Origin to operate SGE’s proposed 14 BWRX-300 small modular reactors at three UK sites. They plan to establish a UK-based operating company, with Origin supporting licensing, commissioning and fleet operations; SGE targets the first unit’s commercial start in 2034.
