Google Research and Google for Health say they are developing AI tools to help identify people with presumptive tuberculosis when radiologists are scarce. At IDWeek 2026, the teams are presenting work spanning clinical trials and local regulatory clearances to open models such as MedGemma, aimed at supporting TB screening worldwide.
