Origin Range Requests: Serving large files without range-request tuning blog.cloudflare.com

Cloudflare has launched Origin Range Requests, a self-service feature on all plans that uses fixed-size cache chunks to serve partial requests for large files, replacing customer-configured range sizes. The company says the change roughly halved R2’s p99 time to first byte and reduced tiered-cache traffic for R2 and similar workloads by about 6%; customers can enable it with a Cache Rule.
