Game Review: Maple Leafs let a dominant second period go to waste in another frustrating divisional loss mapleleafshotstove.com

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost 3-2 to the Ottawa Senators at home, falling to 0-2 in divisional play to start the season despite dominating the second period with 14-4 shots and 21-4 five-on-five attempts. The Leafs' loss was attributed to costly defensive breakdowns, a high-sticking penalty by Easton Cowan that led to Ottawa's tying goal, and poor third-period play where they were outshot 14-1.
