Huawei-JAC luxury brand Maextro said it will redesign the V800’s brake-pedal bracket and offer current owners a free upgrade after Dongchedi reported that the brackets fractured in emergency braking tests on all three vehicles it tested. Maextro said it had seen no such failures among customers and described the tests as extreme, but pledged to strengthen its design validation and quality controls.
